Group Project display

The Menomonee Falls Public Library, where we hold our monthly meetings, has honored the Guild with a permanent display of our Collaborative Classics in the main meeting room. Our 2019 artwork hangs along with our 2018 interpretation of Van Gogh’s “Starry Night.”

Our group project has become an annual affair. The project asks 16 members to create just one piece of a larger artwork that is then reassembled to display as a whole. Membership votes on which masterpiece to recreate.

Participants had two months to work on their section of the classic artwork selected for 2019, Sunday Afternoon by Seurat. Sections were handed out randomly and artists were encouraged to represent their unique style, creating in their usual artistic medium.

Get ready! Our group project for 2020 is about to begin!
