Members enjoyed a lively art experience learning the technique of Gelli print painting during our workshop on March 25, 2025 at the Art Lounge. Members expressed interest in getting their own hands-on experience with the process after Laura’s demonstration at our October 2024 meeting.
Laura led us step-by-step as we squirted paint colors, rolled on our Gelli plates, layered all sorts of textured materials and finally rubbed the print onto pages of our journals. Then again: paint, roll, press, repeat! The process is addicting because of the always surprising results! It was a fun night exchanging textures to try, comparing color combinations and viewing others’ prints.
