Guest speakers for our February meeting treated us to a sneak peek into the Youth Art Month exhibit throughout the Library. After setting up the exhibit all day long, nine AP (Advanced Placement) Art students from Menomonee Falls High School guided our membership through their personal exhibits last night. All four facets of the AP program were represented: 2D Design – Alysa Koepp, Davis Corazzari and Jordan Nguyen; Photography – Parker Shiley and Kailee Doherty; 3D Design – Gwen Viegut and Nicole Welsh; and Drawing & Painting – Katie Pelnar and Justin Blawat. The students did an amazing job sharing their processes, inspirations and goals.
Artwork from the entire Menomonee Falls School District is on display in the Public Library during the month of March. Opening reception is Thursday February 28th, 2019 at 6:30pm.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Not only was our membership attendance amazing with yet another weather fiasco, the student presenters were on their game. Their enthusiasm was only trumped by the execution of their assigned projects. Kudos to both the students and Terra Chmielewski.
