Since 2015, the Art Guild of Menomonee Falls has sponsored one Menomonee Falls High School student to attend a week-long summer camp. Through a donation from a generous member, Susan Hanson, the Guild is able to offer two students this opportunity for 2024!

Junior Kalvin Thao and sophomore Abby Ward will attend UW-Whitewater’s Fine Art Camp, June 23-28, 2024. The Guild is proud to sponsor these emerging artists.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2023-24 MFHS freshman, sophomore or junior in good academic standing
- able to provide own transportation to/from camp
DETAILS:
MFHS art students are invited to apply for a scholarship to attend a week-long summer art camp at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater valued at $700 sponsored by the Guild. UW-Whitewater’s Fine Art Camp, June 23-28, 2024, is a 6-day opportunity for high-school student artists to immerse themselves in a college-level, visual arts experience.
- 6-day camp, Sunday June 23 – Friday June 28, 2024
- Held at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater
- Camp instructors are all current full-time faculty members of the Art & Design Department at UW-W.
- Campers may attend as a commuter or resident camper. residents stay overnight in one of UW-W’s resident halls (lodging and meals are included).
- Valued at $700 per camper
- Campers choose from 2 of 4 workshops: painting, ceramics, bookmaking, digital fundamentals
- Students attend 2 4-hour workshops each day.
- A closing reception/art exhibition will be held Friday, June 28 as a showcase for artists and parents.
RUTH FLUNKER was our 2023 ART CAMP SCHOLARSHIP WINNER! Congratulations Ruth on your insightful essay and interest in pursuing art! The two UW-W Fine Art Camp workshops Ruth has selected are Sculpture (aluminum casting) and 2D digital fundamentals: becoming a digital artist.
