One of our own, Jon Cline, accepted our invite to share what led him on his artistic path at our October 25, 2022 meeting.
Jon Cline started his photography career after being invited by the Menomonee Falls High School Athletic Director to take pictures of high school sporting events. At the time, Jon was studying photography and graphic design at Waukesha County Technical College. The Athletic Director had noticed Jon with his camera at the high school fields and courts, taking photos for school assignments, and encouraged Jon to consider marketing his images to the athlete’s families.
Jon’s love of photography grew from necessity early on. As a youngster, he started taking pictures and scrapbooking to document his life due to memory lapses as a result of a medical condition. The importance of recording memories has turned into successful business model for Jon.
A staple of the Falls community, Jon now actively documents most high school sporting events and Village happenings. Appropriately, Jon’s photos are featured in a regular column of The Falls Neighbors monthly magazine titled, “Where’s Jon?”
