Fundraising Canvases

Guild artists are encouraged to incorporate their own personal artistic styles and mediums to represent a different subject matter each year. These original 8×8 artworks will be available for purchase throughout the summer at Falls Memorial Fest and Art in the Park.

Water is the Theme for 2026

Water can be visually represented in myriad ways, literally & figuratively… Think:

  • Nautically, both real & fantastic
  • Environmentally, of water biomes & the plants & animals that live there
  • Scientifically, of weather, the water cycle
  • Singularly, the impact of a single tear or the first plop of rain or different ways to envision the Mickey Mouse shaped molecule we rely on for life
  • Monumentally, in the vastness of oceans or clouds
  • Emotionally or symbolically, as in a representation of one’s intuition or inner self
  • Religiously, with holy water, baptisms
  • Abstractly, with a study in blue
  • Stylistically, attempting a style-a-like of Picasso’s blue period or a Van Gogh-esque evening sky… or listen to some B.B. King & let your brush get down & dance
  • Oppositely, with dehydration: of people, fruit, plants, or biomes. Both the Sahara & Antarctica are deserts
  • Ironically, b/c while Antarctica is a desert by measurement of rainfall, its also made of ice
  • Form•ally, b/c water lives in the form.of a solid, a liquid, & a gas

Inspired yet? Yeah you are…
